Plugs can become tangled up against other engine or chassis components, putting them in awkward positions that are difficult to reach without the proper tools. A metal or plastic screw plug serves as the oil drain plug. The oil drain plug has a sealing ring that seals the drain opening. When changing the oil before refilling, this opening is required to drain waste oil. The oil drain plug is at the lowest point of the oil pan. It allows the oil stored within to flow out by gravity, and then it can be emptied independently. Your oil drain plug should be tight enough not to loosen and allow all of your oil to drain out while driving, but not so tight that it strips the threads. Key Features: -
