Economical does not mean cheap quality as these mooring whips are exceptionally strong. Each whip is comprised of solid fiberglass rods and durable cast aluminum bases. Unaffected by UV, each whip also includes a unique tip with functional roller to allow easier access to your boat. The 12-foot mooring whip is designed for boats up to 23 feet in length and up to 4,000 pounds.
Note that when you install Howell mooring whips on stationary docks located where water levels fluctuate more than two feet, you must periodically adjust these mooring whips to compensate for the water level variations. If you do not make the recommended adjustments to the spring and whip line tension, they may become damaged and your manufacturer’s warranty will become void. These recommended adjustments are not typically necessary if you are attaching your rig to a floating dock.
