Raymarine Gyro Plus 2 | The GyroPlus 2 is a rate gyro sensor that measures the boatĘs yaw (its rate of turn) through an advanced microprocessor technology. This processed rate of turn information in then combined with the fluxgate compass signal in the Autopilot to provide fast and accurate heading information. The GyroPlus 2 enhances Autopilot Systems with Type 150/400 course computers in the following way:
+ Upgrades the T150 or the T400 to the "G" standard including full AST functionality
AST provides:
+ Exceptional course keeping and steering performance
+ Fast Trim to correct for changes in trim in the vessel (e.g. loss of engine synchronization or weather helm)
+ When used with ST6001 or ST7001 control unit, pilot will AutoLearn the characteristics of the vessel
+ Choice of nine Response levels for best performance and smooth ride in all conditions Older Type 100/300 course computers:
+ Connecting the GyroPlus enhances performance and delivers improved course keeping in following and quartering seas. Gyro Plus is activated when the autopilot is set to response level 3. Autopilot operation in response levels 1 and 2 is unchanged
