If there are fish to be found, you’ll find them with a Northstar Explorer
dedicated fishfinder.
Northstar Explorer 457 - 5" VGA unit with fuel 640 x 480.
Split and full screen view.
VGA - Four times the pixels!
The Vertical Value: When bottom detail becomes critical in identifying species’
habitat, or for navigating a way through coral reefs and uncharted channels, you
need greater detail in the vertical column. The Explorer 467 and 457 have 4
times the screen pixels of previous large screen models, making them an ideal
choice for all boaters needing detailed information.
High detail also means better target definition for fishing.
Low-resolution devices might identify schools of fish, but high-resolution
devices will aid in determining if they are small schools of big fish, or large
schools of small fish.
Like its big brother the Explorer 467, the 457 reveals water
column detail like never before, thanks to dual frequency sonar paired with an
outstanding 640 x 480 pixel color display.
The 457 maximizes helm space and value, by putting all that power in a 5"
screen.
Having a dual frequency fishfinder allows you to select optimum performance for
either deep or shallow water. As well as the standard mixed frequency display,
the Explorer 467 and Explorer 457 allows you to select either a narrow beam or a
wide angle beam.
