Offering the same quality craftsmanship of the Dock Side Premium series of mooring whips, Dock Edge has produced the Dock Side Ultimate line of mooring whips. The Ultimate collection, including the 14-foot model (product number DEI3650F) is available at low prices at Boatersland Discount Marine Supplies. The ultimate collection included rocker bases that are not included with the premium series of mooring whips. The 14-foot model is for boats that are up to 10,000 pounds and up to 28-feet in length.
If your Dock Side Ultimate mooring whip system is going to be installed on a concrete dock, you should be aware that lag bolts and masonry plug inserts are required. Docks made from soft woods such as cedar need to have a 3/8 inch hole drilled through the dock at each mounting hole location of the base. In this case, you will need to use 3/8 inch bolts or carriage bolts and washers, lock-washers and nuts or locking nuts rather than the 3/8 inch lag bolts that are included with the mooring whip kit.
